ROUTE OVERVIEW
This pleasant ride on former rail trails begins at the Invista Centre in Kingston, where there is plenty of parking. Follow a short-paved section of the K&P onto a crushed stone dust former rail bed to the Cataraqui Trail. Then, follow it into the Village of Sydenham.
You will cross several roads, beside which there is parking. Should you wish a shorter ride, consider parking at Unity Road or Murton Road. The destination is Sydenham, a lovely town with restaurants, Canada’s Oldest General Store, and Point Park where you can picnic, swim or just relax. Along your return to Kingston, there are many choices of pubs and restaurants for post ride refreshments.
Grades are gentle, with trail surface crushed stone dust in good condition. Please practice courtesy with other users. If you encounter someone on horseback, stop and ask permission from the rider to pass.
