ROUTE OVERVIEW
A favorite and always delightful, just take the free Wolfe Island ferry from downtown Kingston and enjoy an island paradise that is a 20-minute ferry ride away. Be sure to check the ferry schedule prior to departing.
This route begins in Marysville, where the ferry docks, bikes out along the 96 to the East end of the island and returns. Make sure to save some time at the start or the end of your ride to walk around Marysville and to check out the array of locally made items available at Fishtale Shop. If you're looking for a meal, head to the Wolfe Island Grill or the Wolfe Island Pub and Pizzeria. If you're just ready for a snack, grab a pastry and coffee from the Wolfe Island Bakery.
The main spine roads, routes 95 and 96, are paved, as are some other roads. Gravel roads are kept in good condition. Abundant river views, city views, agricultural landscapes and cultural attractions. In the evening, one can sit along the water’s edge in a pub setting and observe the lights appearing in the City.
Wolfe Island is also a gateway to the USA via Hornes Ferry to Cape Vincent and to Simcoe Island via ferry. Please remember that you will require a passport to use this ferry.
